When joining the United Methodist Church, members vow to participate in the life and ministries of the church with their prayers, their presence, their gifts, their witness, and their service.

At VVUMC everyone is invited to participate in the ministries of the church with all that they have to offer back to God.

For prayers, there is the public prayer list, plus any that may be formed in/around a small group.

For presence, there is worship on Sundays and various small groups that meet throughout the week.

For gifts, there are ample opportunities to share art, music, speaking, teaching, caring, interpreting scripture, and preaching. Whatever gifts you have, there is a way to use them at the church to serve God and God’s children.

For witness, there are the various ministries of the church and the Holy Spirit leading you to share at different times.

For service, there are also the various ministries of the church, though in a way the service aspect focuses on the tasks and labor while the witness focuses on the people we hope as a congregation to love and show God’s love.

Giving is about more than money.

But giving does in part mean financially supporting the church.

Many of us today do not always carry cash or a check book...

If you would like to set up automated giving via the ACH or bill pay option with your bank,

this results in no fees for you as the giver or the church as the recipient of that tithe or offering.

This also offers you the option to set up automatic giving each month.

However you choose to give to the church, giving with a cheerful heart will be what is pleasing to God.
