Blessing Box

Are you hungry?

The Blessing Box is a ministry of Valley View United Methodist Church that provides non-perishable food items in a take what you need, donate what you can fashion.

Located on the circle driveway at the church (201 Church Street), the Blessing Box is available to anyone in need. The box is to the right of the building near the tree.

All non-perishable food items are welcome, but items that are easy to open (pop-tops, pull-tabs, boxed items, etc.) are encouraged for easy access.

Donations can be left inside the box. If the box is full, please contact the church to drop off your items.

An act of LOVE.

This might be the corniest thing ever thought up, but here it is. God loves you and you love God- that's one side of the triangle.

But then, God loves other people and they love God- that's the second side of the triangle. So... how do we show love to other people? How do we complete this love triangle?  There are a number of different ways, but one very concrete way is to make sure people are fed.

On Sunday #3 of each month, the third Sunday, please bring a non-perishable food item to put in the blessing box.
